Season by season
How the year breaks down for trip planning.
- Cool and dry (Nov–Feb) — Broadly the most comfortable weather nationwide and the highest-demand window.
- Hot season (Mar–Apr) — Hottest period, especially inland; Songkran spikes demand in April.
- Green season (May–Oct) — Rainier overall, lusher landscapes and lower prices.
- Two coasts (Year-round) — The Andaman (west) and Gulf (east) sides run on different patterns, so one coast is often usable when the other is not.
Best value window
Hot season (Mar–Apr) usually gives the best balance: hottest period, especially inland; songkran spikes demand in april. Shifting a trip two or three weeks either side of peak is normally the single biggest saving available.
