Overview
Colombia sits close to the equator, so the official tourism board is explicit that the country has no four-season calendar: temperature is driven by altitude and geography rather than by month. Broadly, December–March and July–August are the drier periods and April–May and October–November the rainier ones, with clear regional exceptions across the Caribbean coast, the Andean highlands, the Pacific and the Amazon. That variety — plus low costs and cheap domestic flights — makes it one of the strongest all-round value trips in the Americas.
Climate: Tropical with no four-season calendar — altitude and geography set the temperature. Broadly drier in Dec–Mar and Jul–Aug and wetter in Apr–May and Oct–Nov, with strong regional exceptions.
Plan 10–18 days to see Colombia without rushing. Shorter trips work best from a single base; longer trips justify a second region.

National-level approximation for decision support only — it never affects match scores, and it does not imply a single nationwide weather pattern. The Caribbean coast, the Andean highlands, the Pacific coast and the Amazon each run their own rainfall calendars. Demand spikes are driven as much by Colombian holidays (Christmas–New Year, Easter, the mid-year school break) as by weather.
